Posts about the 5/19 show sugaree led me to pull out dick's picks 29 again and I found myself flabbergasted by the 5/21 show. I think the high point of this show is the Other One > Comes A Time pairing... this other one has, in its own way, just as much energy as will tell's favorites from '68, and the transition into comes a time is so beautiful, essentially a 3-minute solo from jerry that just blows my mind every time.

Just throwing this out there. I stumbled on 10-15-76 and it has a comes a time>Franklins in the post drums spot. Very rare and interesting. Not sure how accurate this is but setlists.net says Comes a time and Franklin's were only played in the same show 3 times total.

10-15-76 is easily my favorite show from 1976. The Other One> Comes a Time> Franklins (patched from an aud source) is played to perfection. In addition, you get a nice Eyes, Music Never and Sugaree was starting to become the powerhouse it would develop in to the next year.

My 18th birthday, wish I had a clue the Boys were so much fun-- might have gone there instead of my HS graduation-LOL.

It's ok - I posted that in a bout of morning grumpiness anyway. After reflection, I was being somewhat hypocritical...

I couldnt agree more, Vapors. However I'll bet that Chris might have actually been an OK guy back when he was in High School. I think the brain trauma, and mental illness, along with all the misfortune he has had to deal with in his life has transformed him into the disruptive attention seeker that he is here. I dont think that he has much of a life and it probably revolves around this message board...

When I did the whole May of '77 thing, 5/21 really stood out from the crowd and that Comes a Time is one of the reason's why. One of the better SS too.

Other not-so-noticed shows that kick hippie ass are 5/4, 5/13 and 5/26. I know I'm not the first to know this, I'm jus sayin'.
